MIAMI ART WEEK GUIDE 2025
HAPPENINGS

BCF x Rashid Johnson
“The Prelude” is a collaborative exhibition co-curated by Rashid Johnson, drawing from the collection of the Berkowitz Contemporary Foundation (BCF). At its center stands Johnson’s "Surrender Painting", a powerful anchor that sets the emotional and visual tone of the space. Surrounding it is a thoughtful intervention of additional works from the collection, each in dialogue with Johnson’s piece. The exhibition invites viewers to attune to the natural elements embedded within the environment, echoes of the landscape that will soon define BCF’s forthcoming Longleaf Art Park in northwest Florida.

LaChapelle. Vanishing Act
Vanishing Act will bring together over 30 works spanning LaChapelle’s career, including the world premiere of nine new pieces to be unveiled exclusively in Miami on November 29 2025, and 5 additional pieces not previously available to collectors.
Vanishing Act arrives at a moment of global uncertainty and cultural introspection. With his singular ability to create narratives that blend theatricality and intimacy, LaChapelle presents a visual archive of a world in flux, where beauty meets crisis, and spirituality finds space within the chaos. The exhibition reflects on what we’ve built, what’s disappeared, and what remains sacred.

MIAMI: HANDLE WITH CARE
HANDLE WITH CARE gestures toward the practical and the conceptual—bringing together a dynamic group of artists, including longtime collaborators and new voices from their extended creative networks, to offer a soft landing in a time of collective unrest. The collaboration is a celebration of community and the cultural intersections defining the contemporary art landscape.
